Private jet to the Costa Smeralda
You land at Olbia. Porto Cervo is 32 minutes by road.
Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo and the Costa Smeralda have no runway. The jet lands at Olbia Costa Smeralda airport, which has a terminal for private flights; from there the airport operator gives 32 minutes by road to Porto Cervo. What matters is getting the summer slot and deciding the last leg in advance.

Every figure has its source at the bottom of the page.
Where from, when, how many.
The quote takes care of the rest.
No name or phone here: these three fields open the quote already filled in. Luggage, aircraft and estimate come next; your details are asked only at the last step.
The arrival airport and the alternatives
| Airport | ICAO | Straight-line distance | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Olbia | LIEO | 22 km | The Costa Smeralda airport. Coordinated in summer: private flights operate after coordination with the operator. |
| Alghero | LIEA | 116 km | The alternative on the west side of the island. |
| Cagliari | LIEE | 209 km | The south of the island: far from the Costa Smeralda, useful if the plan also takes in the south. |
Straight-line distance calculated from the coordinates, not road kilometres.
Where the jet lands
The jet lands at Olbia Costa Smeralda airport (LIEO). No place on the coast has a runway for a business aircraft: Porto Cervo, Cala di Volpe and Porto Rotondo are reached from Olbia.
Private aviation at Olbia has its own terminal, run by Eccelsa Aviation, a company of the airport operator Geasar: according to the 2026 Service Charter, ground handling works 24 hours a day on a 10-hectare apron dedicated to private flights.
In summer the slot comes before the aircraft
Olbia is a coordinated airport in the summer season: Assoclearance classifies it at level 3. For general and business aviation there is one more rule: flights operate only after coordination with the airport operator, which issues the authorisation.
In practice, in the peak weeks the arrival time you ask for may not be available. Asking early means more times to choose from; asking late means fitting the flight to the times that are left.
The last leg: car with driver, helicopter where possible
From the airport to Porto Cervo the operator gives 32 minutes via the SS125 and the SP94. In high season traffic can make it longer: by how much, no source we could verify publishes.
In Costa Smeralda we do not promise a helicopter landing today. In the ENAC register the Porto Cervo heliport is listed as suspended for all uses, and those of Porto Rotondo (Eliportorotondo) and La Maddalena were closed by the note of 20 March 2026. For the others the register refers to the official aeronautical directory. This is why the quote is built on a car with driver; the helicopter, if it can be done for that date and that spot, we add as a separate line with its own price.
Porto Rotondo
Porto Rotondo is served by the same airport: you land at Olbia and continue by car. Its heliport (Eliportorotondo) was closed by the ENAC note of 20 March 2026, so we do not offer a helicopter arrival there.
Route pages to Porto Rotondo already exist: the flight time is the time to Olbia, and the last leg is a separate line in the quote.

Questions we get
- Can a private jet land at Porto Cervo?
- No. Porto Cervo has no runway: the jet lands at Olbia Costa Smeralda airport and from there the airport operator gives 32 minutes by road to Porto Cervo.
- Do I need a slot to land at Olbia in summer?
- Yes. In summer Olbia is a coordinated airport (level 3 for Assoclearance) and private aviation operates only after coordination with the operator Geasar. This is why it pays to ask early in the peak weeks.
- Can I arrive by helicopter at Porto Cervo or Porto Rotondo?
- We do not promise it. In the ENAC register the Porto Cervo heliport is suspended and the Porto Rotondo one has been closed since 20 March 2026. The quote is built on a car with driver; the helicopter is added only if it is possible for that date and that spot.
- How much does a private flight to the Costa Smeralda cost?
- There is no price list: the price depends on the aircraft, the departure city, the date and the airport charges. The quote is built line by line in about a minute, with no sign-up and no deposit.
- Which alternative airport is there if Olbia has no free times?
- Alghero and Cagliari, but they are far from the Costa Smeralda and the drive gets long. It usually pays to move the time at Olbia before changing airport.

What is not confirmed
- The airport-Porto Cervo road time in high season: the operator publishes 32 minutes, without saying in what traffic conditions.
- The status of the Villa La Contra and Smeraldina heliports (Arzachena): the ENAC register refers to the official aeronautical directory, which we have not read.
- The airport-Porto Rotondo road time: no official source found.
